Singer Irene Namubiru has landed a juicy deal.

The singer has been chosen by the Indian High Commission in Uganda to record a song in celebration of the 150th Birth Anniversary of Indian freedom fighter Mahatma Ghandi.

Irene is among 124 musicians who were chosen to record the tribute cover of “Vaishav Jan To” that finds her singing in Gujarat.

Announcing the news online, Irene has posted a clip of her cover of the song and expressed her gratitude for the honor.
