Eedris Abdulkareem Arrested For Beating Landlord Over Unpaid N535,000 Electricity Bill | Trendsmedia.

Nigerian veteran singer, Eedris Abdulkareem has been arrested for beating up his landlord over unpaid bills and sexual assault.

According to reports, the singer allegedly beat up his landlord, Oladipo Abimbola, over an unpaid electricity bill of N535,000 on the 3rd of January, 2020 at Valley View Estate, #Ikeja, #Lagos. Eedris was said to have broken into the house to beat the landlord for bringing in officials of Ikeja Electricity Distribution ( IKED) to disconnect power from his house.

The Landlord explained that Eedris’ wife rented the apartment on behalf of her husband and so he was not aware that the singer was to be his tenant. He also revealed that the singer is an antisocial and dangerous person that constantly owes him rent.

However, Abdul-Kareem denied ever attempting to assault his landlord. He alleged that his landlord had sexually harassed his wife in his absence and that all efforts to make him stop failed and that he frequently encroached on their side of the compound without permission. He also claimed that his landlord had once been arrested for a previous case of sexual harassment against a female tenant. The case is still ongoing.
