UFC 246 midweek odds: McGregor heavily favored over Cerrone | Trendsmedia.
Check out the midweek betting odds for Saturday’s UFC 246 event, where Conor McGregor returns to action to face Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone in the main event.
The first UFC show of 2020 is on deck this Saturday, January 18th, where UFC 246 kicks off from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, NV. Not only is the UFC back, but the card will be headlined by the return of ‘The Notorious’ Conor McGregor. Welcoming back the former champ champ will be ever-active Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone. Bloody Elbow is here to bring you the midweek betting lines for this event.
Despite not seeing a win since November of 2016, McGregor is substantially favored over his much more active counterpart. The straight up moneyline for Conor is residing around a heavily favored mark of -330. As for Cerrone, after going 2-2 in 2019, the betting lines have him pegged as a +275 underdog. For the record, Cowboy has fought five-times since Conor’s last fight.
According to online gambling site SportBetting.ag, this welterweight main event will not be needing any scorecards to determine a victor. Their ‘Goes the distance’ prop bet massively favors ‘No,’ and currently owns a moneyline of -600. Going back the other way, the ‘Yes’ prop sits as a hefty underdog at +450. This line shouldn’t be too surprising, with both men having stout histories of their bouts ending early.
The co-main event For UFC 246 will provide the rematch we didn’t know we needed. Former bantamweight queen, Holly Holm, will tangle once again with former title challenger, Raquel Pennington. The first time they danced was back in 2015. At the time, Holm was a sizable -550 betting favorite, and “Rocky” was a +450 underdog. Holm took the split decision in what was her UFC debut. This time around, the betting lines are significantly tighter. Holm is clocking in as a -140 favorite, with a +120 comeback on Pennington.
The oddsmakers are projecting this 15-minute fight to go the distance. The exotic bet ‘Fight goes to decision’ is exceptionally favored here, trending with a moneyline of -485. As for ‘Fight doesn’t go to decision’? Well, that prop is hanging around with a thick underdog tag of +350. This line seems to make sense considering six of Holm’s ten Octagon outings and eight of Rocky’s eleven UFC appearances have gone the distance.
