The UFC 247 headliner has a little more heat behind it now that the combatants are chirping.
Ahead of his UFC 247 light heavyweight title defense, Jon Jones has kept relatively quiet when it comes to opponent Dominick Reyes. There have been a few minor verbal battles, but nothing close to what his usual opponents face. Following some Reyes comments that he didn’t likethough, Jones took to social media to unleash a salvo of trash talk against his next challenger.
It started when Reyes stated that Jones has never fought an athlete like him. That got Jon hot:

Jones then responded to a fan, pointing out the athletic accomplishments of many of his prior opponents, including Daniel Cormier, Ovince Saint Preux, Ryan Bader, and Vitor Belfort among others:

He then went after Reyes directly:
Dominick Reyes, one of the greatest athletes in Apple Valley history. Being a big fish in a small pond for so long has really gone to his head.

Beating up on cans has got him convinced he’s a better athlete than most of the world. If he was so badass he would’ve won the California state wrestling championships, he would’ve went division one, He would have at least made a practice squad for the NFL. This man is delusional

He closed by issuing a warning, at least something that looks like one:

Reyes (12-0, 6-0 UFC) will look to be the first man to legitimately defeat Jones (25-1, 1 NC, 19-1 1 NC) on February 8th in the Toyota Center in Houston.
